Checkmate
Today I took my remaining elderly dog to the vet for a med-check which quickly morphed into some end-of-life decision-making. I knew the day was coming, I just hadn’t thought about it being today. Winston’s brain lesion had grown enough to raise concerns about his level of pain and his quality of life. It was time.
Two dogs down in two months. They’d each lived 15 years, so I know it’s not a tragedy. Sad, but not tragic. Still…I declare today to be dumb.
