In the late 80s, I had a fairly long discussion with a friend about why hallucinogenics weren’t popular in the Black community. His response: “Life’s fucked up enough when you’re Black in the South. You don’t really need another perspective on it. Plus, if hallucinogenics existed in our community, Hip Hop wouldn’t. Those two would never mix.” That’s me boiling down a couple of hours of dialogue into one paraphrased paragraph, but you get the point.

This video answers the question much more directly. Hip Hop and hallucinogens can’t mix, because OHMYGODHEISUSINGHISPENISASAMICROPHONETHATISNOTFRESHTHATISWACK.

If this video doesn’t make you uncomfortable, please unfollow me. And if it does make you uncomfortable, stick with it. Just when you think you can’t become more uncomfortable, your discomfort will expand exponentially.

Not safe for work. Or life.

Die Antwoord Music Video of the Day: “Evil Boy (ft. Wanga)”

It took me several minutes of internal debate before I could “heart” this.  You, sir, have redefined my entire view of discomfort.  And bewilderment.  And ewwww.  I’m not sure, but I may or may not be thanking you.  Or damning you to hell.

Also, belated happy birthday.
